Four rules
Real food.
Rate dishes you actually ate. Pick the dish type that matches the plate; if it isn’t food, don’t post it. Reviews of the room, the service or the owner belong somewhere else.
Real places.
Attach the restaurant that actually served the dish. Don’t invent spots, tag the wrong place to game a leaderboard, or post on behalf of a business.
Be decent.
Disagree about the score, not about the person. No harassment, hate, threats, slurs, sexual content, or dogpiling, in notes, takes, usernames or bios. Don’t impersonate anyone.
Your own photos.
Post photos you took. No stock images, no screenshots of other people’s posts, and no photos of people who haven’t agreed to appear, especially children.
How reporting works
Every post, take and profile has a Report option: the ··· menu on a post or profile, or a long press on a take. Pick a reason (spam, offensive, sexual, harassment, not food, other) and add a note if it helps.
The person you report is never told who reported them. You can report each item once; the more people report the same thing, the sooner it reaches the top of our queue.
The app also screens display names, usernames, bios, notes and takes for slurs as you type, and every dish photo is checked for unsafe imagery before it is published (see the privacy policy).
How blocking works
Open someone’s profile, tap the ··· menu and choose Block. Blocking is immediate and works both ways: neither of you sees the other’s posts, takes, reactions or profile, follows between you are removed, and new follows across the block are refused. The blocked person is not notified. Unblock any time from You → Blocked accounts.
Zero tolerance
There is no warning system for abuse. Content that is hateful, harassing, threatening, sexual, or that targets a person is hidden as soon as we see it, and the account that posted it is suspended or closed, without notice. Spam and fake or manipulated ratings are removed and repeat offenders lose their account. These guidelines are part of the Terms of use.
Reviewed within 24 hours
A human reviews every report within 24 hours of it being filed and does one of three things: hides the content, suspends the account, or dismisses the report with a reason. Reports and the records of what we did are kept for up to 12 months after they are resolved, so repeat behavior is visible to us.
